In October 2007 Kenneth Vona Construction joined Wayland to Waveland (W2W) a town-wide public/private organization with the mission to help rebuild their sister city of Waveland, Mississippi which was Ground Zero for the 40-foot tidal wave that destroyed the coast during Hurricane Katrina.
KVC led the 14-week building effort and worked with over 400 skilled tradesmen and 150 volunteers to build eight new homes for families in Waveland. Once in Mississippi the team realized how great the need was beyond the main project. Numerous others were helped - they asked and we delivered. To date, the project has topped its $1.6M goal and continues to raise money and awareness.
